PREAMBLE
Preamble declares India to be a Sovereign, Socialist, Secular and Democratic republic. The objectives started by the Preamble are to secure justice, liberty, equality to all citizens and promote fraternity to maintain unity and integrity of the nation.
The Preamble page, along with other pages of the original constitution of India, was designed and decorated by the renowned painter Beohar Rammanohar Sinha.
Indian Constitution basic features are:
1. It provide Parliamentary form of government: Government by the people.
2. Federalism: Power division between union and state.
3. Fundamental Rights: Civilian Rights.
4. Separation of powers: Between Legislature, Executive, and Judiciary.
5. Secularism: Separartion of state and religion.
6. Independent and integrated judicial system.
7. Directive principles.
8. Rigid and flexible.
CIVIL RIGHTS
They are guarantees of equal social opportunities and protection under the law, regardless of race, religion, or other characteristics. Examples are the rights to vote, to a fair trial, to government services, and to a public education.
